Key Passage: John 14
Key Text: John 14:26 – “But the Comforter, even the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said unto you.”
In this life one of the greatest quests of men is power. But God sent power to man in the form of a Person. The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is in truth is the empowerer of children of God. Unlike worldly, earthly or demonic power, which is subject to man’s control and manipulation, the Holy Spirit is completely sovereign. He is not a genie in a bottle that you conjure up and employ when you need him. He is God and He acts and He expects us to cooperate with Him.
As a believer in Christ Jesus, we truly have an unfair advantage in this life. We have God In us, with us and upon us in the person of the Holy Spirit. He is in us to change us, with us to guide us and upon us to empower us. So we can excel in every area of life with God on our side and God with us.
There are times when looking at human beings and some of the things they have to endure and go through, that I am forced to conclude that, without the help of God they cannot survive. Sometimes I observe ordinary people doing extraordinary things and I can see that God is at work in them. Even more dramatic sometimes is the way a person who may have been vile and wicked is transformed into a much better person. God has been at work through His Holy Spirit.
The presence of the Holy Spirit, or The Helper as Jesus called Him, really is the difference between a Christian and a non-believer. He teaches us the word of God, He guides us through life, He gives us the peace of God, He comforts us, He tells of thing to come, He gives us power to witness and share the truth about Jesus. He gives us gifts to heal, deliver, encourage, exhort, discern and pray. He helps us to walk in the character of Christ. He makes us kind, gentle, loving, full of faith, patient, good, meek, joyful and peaceful.
He is the best Person you can have and know in your life. In these days of “X’ Factor, I want to ask if you have the ‘H’-Factor. The Holy Spirit, that makes us Hot (Intelligent), Healthy, Hopeful, and Happy. He gives us that unfair advantage. The H-Factor.
Today get the H-Factor into your life. Yield to the Holy Spirit and watch Him work in and through you.
Let us Pray: Father in the name of Jesus I thank you for the Holy Spirit. Today I invite the Holy Spirit to come into my life and take control and lead, guide and empower me to live right and live well. I desire to have the Holy Spirit in me, with me and upon me. I want the Holy Spirit’s presence in my life. I thank you Father for answering my prayer in Jesus name. Amen.
Beautiful! We indeed have an unfair advantage in this life!
from what i saw here, the measure of faith is not as important as having faith its self, that is why Jesus say, if ye have faith as small and little as the mustard seed you will say to this mountains move and they will move Mathew 17:20.so when things don’t get transform in peoples life it is as a result of no faith and not as a result of little faith, that is why Jesus still where is your faith? Luke 8:25 at a time,
the higher you want to grow the higher you raise your faith, the bigger challenges you want to overcome the higher and longer you stretch your faith.it now depends on where you want to posses and dominate, that is why Jesus at a time still say to his disciple ye men of little faith Mathew 8:26….cos it comes to a point where they need a big faith for a bigger challenge, Christians need to raise the bar for their faith…….most importantly everyone should have faith because even with the little of faith we can move mountains
