Evidently from scriptures there is a type of grace that enables us to build. Build people, build institutions, build buildings and even build nations. Truthfully, when you look at some things people achieve in life, you really cannot attribute that to mere human ingenuity alone. The grace of God must have visited them.

In this passage, we see that Zerubbabel was given a prophecy that his hands laid the foundation of the temple and his hands will also finish it to shouts of grace, grace to it. God was saying that He would give Zerubbabel the special grace to build. Not by Zerubbabel’s might or power, but by His Spirit.

Looking through scripture, we see Noah had grace to build the ark, Solomon had grace to build the temple, Moses has grace to build the tabernacle, Joshua had grace to build God an army, Paul had grace to build churches and people.

I recently took my son back to school at Abeokuta and looked at the impressive institution of learning established there by the late Tayo Aderinokun. As I reflected on this world-class institution, I came to the conclusion that he had grace to build. Looking at GT Bank, evidently the grace to build was there. Looking at the Redeemed camp and the Redeemed Church, all you can shout is GRACE, GRACE. Looking beyond the shores of Nigeria all across the globe, you can see where there has been grace to build. Singapore, Malaysia, China, the UK, US etc etc

Today I am challenging you and myself to seek the God of grace for grace to build. Grace to build your family, ministry, business, Institutions and people. Grace to build even a personal home. I believe this grace is available to those who want it.

6 Then he said to me, This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts. 7 Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain. And he shall bring forward the top stone amid shouts of Grace, grace to it!

Let us Pray: My Father in heaven, you are the God of grace. I see that you give men grace to build. Father, I want this grace in my life too. I want to build for your glory. I want to build with your excellence. I want to build by your Spirit. Father, please visit me with this special grace today in Jesus name. Thank you Father for blessing me with the grace to build. Amen.
